Regulation of Cell Fate with Soft Complex Interfaces
Fluorinated lipids form immiscible clusters in fluid lipid membranes. Functionalizing these clusters opens possibilities to regulate cell growth on such a surface.
Complex materials such as pH-switchable diblock-copolymers allow the creation of unique controllable interfaces for cell growth. Among other techniques, x-ray or neutron reflectivity are powerful tools to study these thin soft films.
