An international symposium on the Jahn-Teller effect is held
approximately every two years. These symposia cover general theories
relating to the Jahn-Teller effect, as well as.experimental and
theoretical aspects of the Jahn-Teller effect and vibronic coupling
in a wide range of systems. These have included molecular systems
(such as fullerenes, hydrocarbons and other molecules / clusters
containing main group and transition elements), impurity systems
and various solid-state systems. The next symposium is being held
in Estonia in Summer 2016.
