Molecular processes at interfaces, in thin films and liquids
Our research aims towards a mechanistic understanding of electronically and thermally induced elementary processes in molecular ensembles. We analyze the structural, electronic, linear and nonlinear optical properties, and the excited states dynamics after optical excitation of molecular systems to elucidate structure-property relationships using a large variety of experimental techniques. This includes electron and optical spectroscopies, femtosecond time-resolved methods as well as spatially resolved microscopy and spectroscopy at the nanoscale.
