XIX International Symposium on the Jahn-Teller Effect

XIX International Symposium on the Jahn-Teller Effect: Vibronic Interactions and Orbital Physics in Molecules and in the Condensed Phase.
Heidelberg, University Campus, Chemistry Lecture Hall (INF 252)
25th - 29th August 2008.

Welcome to the homepage of the XIX International Jahn-Teller Symposium. This is part of a (mostly biannual) series of conferences which started in the 1970s and addresses fundamental issues of the Jahn-Teller effect and vibronic interactions as well as its applications. The last meeting of the series was held in Trieste (Italy) in August 2006. For the forthcoming symposium we expect 100-120 participants, about 15 invited speakers and a similar number of contributed talks, with a fair balance of (gas phase) molecular and condensed matter physics. Although the focus will be more on theory, also a substantial amount of experimental work is to be presented, too.

These web pages will be continuously updated until the final programme will be available in summer 2008. We look forward to welcoming you in Heidelberg in August.

Here you can find the Updated Programme, List of Participants and the List of Abstracts (pdf file, 6.5 MB -- all available as of August 13).
